Disclaimer: NOT a Trump fan.
This is low quality, sensationalist news. An American citizen congratulating the democratically elected president of his country doesn't constitute news - it insinuates one or all of the below:
1. Trump wasn't democratically elected, which is factually innacurate
2. Zuckerberg/Facebook endorse Trump (even if they did, it isn't a crime)
3. The call itself was intended to be surreptitious - well, aren't ALL private communications between citizens private. Aren't we all fighting for Facebook to respect our privacy.
Lest we forget, Obama's campaign masterfully used Facebook. So?
So WHAT is the issue here?
- pwthornton 8y agoTrump was not democratically elected in the most literal sense of the word. He lost the election by 3 million votes. And that's before you factor in the fact that he had the help of Russia and the FBI to help sway the election. Trump won the Electoral College, which is a barrier to democracy in the United States.
