If these problems are rooted in our innate inability to estimate risk, then are they really likely to disappear in the future?

- lincolnq 16y agoWe'll have computers which will increasingly replace humans in risk estimation. People will just do what the computer tells them to do.
- rubinelli 16y agoWe already have expert systems that can estimate some categories of risk very well. People don't trust them anyway. Personally, I think the problem isn't accuracy, it's accountability. You can't fire or sue a piece of software that makes a wrong estimate.
