Yes - it hit the news that LoL will no longer work on Wine or virtual machines because of these anti-cheat measures.
- shmerl 8y agoOK, then their anti-cheat implementation is bad.
- rcoveson 8y agoCan't speak for Wine users, but VMs are working now. The workaround was found within days of the patch (they were just checking for the CPU feature "hypervisor"), and they actually ended up rolling back that check due to the community response.
- AmericanChopper 8y agoThey rolled that back rather quickly.
