Exactly why I won't do those genetic-sample tests for "ancestry" or anything else. Eventually, those data will be sold, even if the entire company is sold with it. Eventually, we will be much better at decoding the DNA for predispositions to medical problems like heart disease, diabetes, alzheimers, and so on. That information will also be used against our kids and maybe our other relatives even if they don't undergo the testing.
