How do you set up the mirrored ZFS? Is this running some type of job that runs something like rsync on a schedule?
- anderspitman 8y agoIn my case it all depends on having the FreeNAS up and running. Once that's working, it's pretty easy to configure it with a couple drives to have them mirror each other. I'm actually running FreeNAS in a VM, but I'm passing through the PCIE SATA controller so FreeNAS has complete control over the hardware, which is important for ZFS. My machine also has ECC memory, which the FreeNAS folks claim is pretty much a must. Hard to determine how true that is. I've seen some conflicting opinions.
