Is there such a thing as AGI really though instead of collections of modules that are trained and may have no meaningful mode of interaction? What does NLP have to do with the mathematics of financial trading? AGI has always felt to me as a large scale interdisciplinary/intercomputational activity, much in the same way that most human intelligence derived from years of intergenerational and interpersonal intellectual development. AGI will never be one but many: many intelligences and systems interacting to produce something of utlitarian value.
