I’ve been using one for six months - in my experience, the keyboard is awesome to the point that I hate going back to my other, older machine.
I reckon there’s been a bit of an unfair perpetuation of this idea that it’s particularly bad, though I accept that some other people have different tastes!

- matthewmacleod 8y agoIt's not necessarily that you're wrong or anything! I totally appreciate that people have different tastes in keyboards. I'm just aware that I've heard an awful lot of people talk about how bad it is, without having actually used it – to the point that I was really rather surprised when I started using it and realised how nice it is!
- rsynnott 8y agoIt’s very different. I personally prefer it to the retina MBP one, which I never liked much (and which was a step down from the pre-retina one), but I can definitely see that some people wouldn’t like it.
- Groxx 8y agoYeah, I'm the same. I really prefer the new keyboards, though there are clear durability problems (possibly now improved) and noise can be a bit louder than desirable (also now improved).
