- dragonwriter 8y agoYes, it is, in effect, via staged kidnap-for-ransom.
- tiatia123 8y agoNo, you don't know it. It is not like health insurance. You pay and submit the bill. They guy take over the negotiations. One objective is to get you back alive. The other objective is to pay as little as possible. The third objective is to make the whole process a pain in the butt that this guy will never try this again. Trust me. You have no idea what you are talking about. I know former military guys who work in this field. Keep downvoting me.
