Not quite a book but definitely a long essay.
"A Supposedly Fun Thing I'll Never Do Again" by David Foster Wallace.
Great read on consumerism, escapism, and the funny things that people seem to do on cruise ships.
Also just started keeping a public kanban board of my book backlog and wondering if others do something similar? I'd be curious to know how others organize their book lists and peaking through to find new things to read. https://github.com/davidsantoso/books/projects/1 https://github.com/davidsantoso/books/projects/1
- anant90 8y agoThe public kanban board is an excellent idea! I'll probably set up one for myself this weekend.
- geephroh 8y ago+1 - thanks, ddsaso! Worth digging into the thread just for this.
- ddsaso 8y agoGlad to hear it! Feel free to open a new issue if there happens to be a book you think I might find interesting based on the books I already have listed. Or if you start your own book list kanban board I'd be interested to see it.
- squigs25 8y agoI use goodreads to keep track of the books I want to read, books I am reading, and books I have read.
- ashtonbaker 8y agoThank you for the Kanban idea; I love it.
