I'm a PhD student in theoretical computer science and have an academic interest in this sorter. But his build system is just too much of a pain to deal with vol

I'm a PhD student in theoretical computer science and have an academic interest in this sorter. But his build system is just too much of a pain to deal with voluntarily. Not to mention that his cpu cycle counting doesn't actually seem to compile on Linux, which doesn't have sysctlbyname? Or maybe build errors are expected behaviour?
