Uh, he didn't release the IP publicly. He was going to take it and give it to another company that presumably is not transparent in the slightest. Doesn't sound like striving for World Peace (c) to me.
- antpls 8y agoPublic knowledge is of course the best, but if you can't have that, at least two actors with the same knowledge is better than only one monopolizing it.
- jexah 8y agoI strongly believe the intent was not to move towards a free and open world, based on the evidence provided. It was to move wealth from one company to another, or worse, from one country to another.
