i've lived for long periods inside and outside SV, which I'll flatter myself into thinking gives me an insider and outsiders perspective. i share the author's sense of horror that SV is becoming a dystopia led by tech elite that think they're building a utopia, but literally have little to no meaningful contact with people that live two or more rungs below them on the socioeconomic ladder.
