  Generally, I agree with you - but it’s 2018, and I can’t see how hyping a SaaS by name dropping Golang is actually hyping anything.

    The simple answer is that it helps. The longer answer involves cost analysis and whatever it creates a positive connotation or not, and what is the risk of dropping this name, basically, marketing.
