Ask HN: Most innovative technology startups of 2000's?

I am a 20 year old studying computer science and industrial design. I am looking to compile a list of startups that invented smarter business models, democratized private industries, and created new opportunities. Why? I would like to know how these rebels changed the world and how they kept evolving. Please include any quality learning materials if you can. Please and thanks.
