  Yeah. I wish heroku offered more than 5MB on its' freebie plan.

  Same here. I learned Python out of curiosity, but started using it for real work only after the Google App Engine launched. I hear similar anecdotes from others as well.

    What's the status, though? Last time I looked (several months ago), sloooow startup time was a real problem for that approach.
