How about simply allowing conversation to just happen? Would you like it if I told you how you were to speak out in public?
It's the GOLDEN RULE. Something you seem to have forgotten in its entirety. You're literally trying to treat someone as if you were their parent. You shouldn't be surprised to find people like me stepping up since you've already coerced people into cowering down.
- dang 8y agoUnfortunately all our experience with internet forums is that "allowing conversation to just happen" leads to the death of the forum. At least once the forum gets beyond a certain size.
- lightedman 8y ago4chan, 2ch, FAF, and tons more laugh at your silly assumption and provides GREAT historical proof otherwise. Hell, even Slashdot is still alive, with over 5 million registered accounts. And the moderation there is done by the people, not admin appointments (because as you clearly demonstrate, it leads to Nazi-esque bullshit REALLY fast.) Perhaps you're not so technologically-informed as you'd like to be. I charge $5,000 per hour to bring people up to speed on actual history. And while we're at it - many of my posts are hidden because of your shadowbanning when they in fact contribute greatly to the conversation (vertical farming being the most recent example.) Only Nazis make people disappear, Mr. Paul Graham.
