What evidence do you have that it's employers who are powerful holding down wages? Being a small business owner in America sucks. You can barely afford to employ anybody.
- yulaow 8y agoHonestly, that's what says any employer in any part of the world. I am currently in a SW-EU state and I hear the same exact words every day, and here the work market is far more heavy regulated and taxed.
- hnisgroupthink 8y agoBecause there are always businesses on the teetering edge of solvency, higher taxes just destroys them like a high tide of the ocean.

- jjoonathan 8y agoThe productivity-pay gap. It might not apply to small businesses, but we're talking about the whole economy, not just small businesses.

- mattm 8y agoBecause they've been found guilty of it. Apple, Google and others were found to be colluding to keep salaries down and recently the same thing has been found in the animation industry with Pixar, Disney and others.
