Regardless of what you think of what the regulatory role of the EPA should be, the scope of Pruitt’s bilking of the american taxpayer is truly stunning. This is not run-of-the-mill influence peddling. From violating regulations to pay severances for public servants, to using taxpayer-funded positions to run errands and trying to get his wife a chick-fil-a franchise (lol), to just straight up fraud with his phone booth. The cost of this one persons little mini federal fiefdom is beyond words. The worst part is that apparently the political divide has gotten so great that we can’t even agree when a grifter goes this wild. This portends greater and greater abuses and wastes of our tax dollars.
