The only acceptable subject matter is contrition for an eternal, unforgettable transgression of history retained as grudge, and held aloft in solemnity and rememberance of the forsaken, whose memory shall never leave us.

This criticism would be valid if the transgressions were all historical, and we all agreed they happened. Unfortunately, they're still happening on a daily basis and many people are trying to deny that they ever happened at all.
