Getting them to ACTUALLY cancel can require more than a single phone call.
- greggarious 8y agoThe key is to do it in person. Show up at an office, return the modem, receive a receipt, and report any future charges as fraud to your CC provider w/ the cancellation and equipment return receipts as proof.
- reaperducer 8y agoI cancelled in person, and that didn't even help. I got calls from Comcast for weeks afterward telling me that I needed to return my equipment. I kept telling them that I did return the equipment and have a receipt. The only thing that made them stop calling is when I described the receipt to the person on the phone as having "that big stupid NBC peacock logo that you stole on the top of it." I guess without the logo description, none of the other callers would believe me.
