- crankylinuxuser 8y agoThat's correct. 2600 is a hacker quarterly. The 'zine has all sorts of interesting writeups, including hacker politics, 0-day discussions, free software talks, notes from people (including fuckyous as well). And the back is a picture of payphones from around the world. And the name is a throwback to the 2600Hz tone that was used to gain operator rights on pre-digital trunking phone lines.
