This law makes sense to me (and I say that as an immigrant myself). Immigrants are flocking to Denmark because it is a stable, prosperous society with generous benefits. But that stability and prosperity wasn't conjured up from thin air. It was built by the Danes for a homogenous group of people. If you want to join them, I find it perfectly reasonable for Danes to demand assimilation into Danish culture. If you have problems with that, then don't go to Denmark. But it is wrong to fail at building your own country, seeking refuge in a better place and yet insisting on playing by your own rules in the new place.
