- Wurdan 8y agoThat's literally the point of putting an abstract at the start of an academic paper. A single paragraph containing the most important points of the study, such as (in this case) the sentence "Contrary to common belief, the volume of face-to-face interaction decreased significantly (approx. 70%) in both cases, with an associated increase in electronic interaction."
