There are a slew of people out there who can keep a healthy relationship with someone much easier than keep a job. I'd venture to say that most people find benefit in finding a life partner. Hence why they keep doing it (even multiple times). Of course, once someone finds someone else I suppose one should ceremoniously back down and stay home in order to conform to other norms.
