While a bit clickbaity it had some important points. I do like the first paragraph asking, if you're a web dev and you're not growing what is the point of still being there?
If you aren't communicating with people in your business sure it will be rough trying to solve cross-departmental problems. But I think what should've been focused on was the size of the company they are talking about. I could work at a company of 500 people and never need to know what Bob in Department X does because someone else gives everything that I do to Bob, eliminating extra variables and seeing problems that aren't there to possibly screw things up. Maybe it should've been expanded on to really dive deeper into specifics.
On the other hand, this would be really well written for smaller companies, of course if they were really the small group that I imagine would take something away from this and they all don't know what each other are working on, it's probably already doomed already.
