Western half speak french as a primary language and visiting cities there reminds me of france, except there werent any ghetto train stations. Northeastern parts speak german. Going down south the primary language was italian. Once you move to the outskirts of italy the infrastructure looked like it hadnt been maintained in ages.
- kimi 8y agoI live in Tessin (the Italian-speaking part of Switzerland), and the infrastructure is maintained.
- klez 8y agoI think they meant that once you cross to Italy the infrastructure was in shambles. And they made this Italian laugh :)
- Kagerjay 8y agoI meant once you get to italy, you have to deal with ticket bait scams with police if you dont punch your ticket train cards. Which is not immediately obvious to a tourist either. Also police at the train station are armed with assault rifles too, but switzerland is not like this so yeah
- shafyy 8y agoWhy is it not nicer than Germany? :D
- vorg 8y agoMore like western fifth speak French, southern sixth speak Italian, and the rest speak German.
