- z0r 8y agokeep in mind they also pay engineer salaries to work on stuff that gets contributed back to the kernel (and other projects). of course that's with a healthy dose of self interest, but this 500k isn't the real bottom line
- ebikelaw 8y agoIndeed Google has hundreds of engineers dedicated to kernel projects, not just people who are allowed to dabble in it.
