GDPR compliance is handled on a per-instance basis. a lot of fediverse developers are EU residents, so i'm sure there they'll do what they can to make it easy for admins to become compliant. personally, i don't care about GDPR since i'm not under EU jurisdiction. even so, none of my servers store logs and i don't require an email address to register.
