Agree. Anyone who has been to India knows how small a role regulations play in everyday life. Nobody cares. At most this will give a couple of corrupt police officers another opportunity to hand out 'fines'.
- aryamaan 8y agoI think the time will tell and it's better than having no regulations at all. Btw, the consumption of alcohol in Bihar and other states where it's prohibated has reduced significantly- I am not advocating the ban of alcohol, personally I feel it's as a wrong move- after the regulations.
- thewhitetulip 8y agoPray tell me how you found out that Bihar's alcohol ban has worked out? I was under the impression that there is a vibrant black market in Bihar too
- aryamaan 8y agoWell, I didn't find any substantial reports about the consumption (or reduction in) of alcohol in Bihar after the prohibition after a courtesy look. And whatever numbers I did find- they were about the reduction in crimes- simply seemed juked and to lure the people.

- thewhitetulip 8y agoYou clearly don't know India. In other countries your assumption could hold true, not here. You can get anything as long as you have connections and the money
- thewhitetulip 8y agoThe state of Gujarat is a total dry state and yet a local politician's son was found to be drunk as fuck wreaking havoc in the main airport! Regulations, laws are a joke in India. The political class controls everythinf
