Agreed, MyFitnessPal is really aggravating to use and if that wasn't bad enough their food database is full of inaccuracies and mis-spellings. The app keeps on the phone a very small fraction of the total food database, that is only the food which you have already entered. Trying to use it in the Paris metro, where for the most part I don't get any signal, was very frustrating and I ended up uninstalling it and deleting my account.
