- dmckeon 8y agoThe Trinity device was on a tower, so perhaps more like an air-burst than a ground-level event. edit: 100-foot (30 m) tower
- zaarn 8y agoAirburst vs Ground Device. Airburst detonation, even 30 m above ground as in New Mexico, will distribute the explosion energy much more evenly and the epicenter will have much less impact. Ground devices deliver a shitload of energy into the ground below.
