- bhouston 8y agoNVIDIA 1060 6GB cards in Canada are still up more than 15% over their lows: https://ca.pcpartpicker.com/product/tJyxFT/evga-geforce-gtx-1060-6gb-sc-gaming-video-card-06g-p4-6163-kr?history_days=730 https://ca.pcpartpicker.com/product/tJyxFT/evga-geforce-gtx-... https://ca.pcpartpicker.com/product/Ft7CmG/zotac-geforce-gtx-1060-6gb-mini-video-card-zt-p10600a-10l?history_days=730 https://ca.pcpartpicker.com/product/Ft7CmG/zotac-geforce-gtx...
- dmm 8y agoThe GeForce 10 series is 2+ years old and are still selling around MSRP. Is that normal?
- overcast 8y agoFor top tier video cards? yes.
- letsgetphysITal 8y agoFor two year old top tier video cards which are only top-tier because the manufacturer is not releasing later models to try and get rid of the old stock? Probably not. (I have no evidence that they are not releasing newer cards just to continue to sell the older stock at MSRP).
- overcast 8y agoPrices are determined by what people are willing to pay for things. A video card isn't a requirement to sustain life, it's a luxury. If people think $1000 for one is too much, they simply won't buy one. Obviously a business wants to maximize profit, but it's up to the consume to decide if it's worth it.
- glenndebacker 8y agoI looked it up I paid 351,90 euro for my 1070 last year now that same card is 500 euro's... I remember you could pick up a 1080 for 560 euro at that time. So sorry but no the prices aren't back to normal.
- snovv_crash 8y agoLooking at the usual DE shops, I'm seeing 1080s for low EUR500s, and from MindFactory even one at EUR499. Prices seem back to normal.
- baldfat 8y agoNot really it is still higher: https://pcpartpicker.com/trends/price/video-card/#gpu.chipset.geforce-gtx-1080-ti https://pcpartpicker.com/trends/price/video-card/#gpu.chipse...
- distances 8y agoCentral Europe: GTX 1060 is still 20% more expensive than it was at a low point, so still a long way to go.
