- nemo44x 8y agoOnly for EU IP addresses. Seems like a good way to keep their people ignorant akin to China or NK firewalls. But in a way that appears less authoritarian and "to protect EU business interests". Lets face it - power structures are terrified of the open communication available today and how everyone is able to organize and see through their BS.
- ShabbosGoy 8y agoWhy not just range ban IP addresses originating from the EU? Seems like a simple and fair solution to me.
- Scarblac 8y agoYes. The legislation is a direct attack on sites like HN and Reddit that have no content of their own but get all the traffic (and ad money, if HN had ads).
