There's nothing inherently creepy about it. I imagine it will be very useful for adding context to a scene - which is important for self-driving cars, AR, image classification, etc. If you take a bunch of photos involving people doing things and extract pose information, I'd imagine it would be helpful in figuring out what's going on in other situations that are otherwise dissimilar.
