Same thing happens to me, and I've noticed that the countries of manufacture will vary. I didn't realize that clothing companies could switch their whole operation from say, Bangladesh to Vietnam, in one year, but I guess if it is profitable based on varying wages and currencies, they get it done. But like you said, it is very annoying because I like to just buy what I already know works, and it's not possible at many retailers any more.
