You really have this completely wrong. I am a systems/network engineer and am newer to the business side. Asking here to get some upsight into the people side. Thank you for pointing out that things run on servers, that was news to me.
- mmt 8y agoSarcasm is rarely well-received here. Also, I think anyone reading any of the rest of the thread would see that you do have an understand of the issues, so no need to defend yourself. Conversely, the parent commenter uses hyperbole to the point of appearing not to have that understanding. For example, even without "fully robiticized" datacenters, there are remarkable economies of scale before that, including ordering servers by the rack (or maybe even row at a time), pre-assembled by a vendor. Things really can be different, even though they can be the same.. even both at the same time!
