It’s an easy thing to say we are all extremely complex and that every trait should be treated independently. The problem with this thought is that creative thinking is in opposition to a productive and managerial approach. Creativity thrives under expansion and exploration. Managerial/admin thrives under focus and execution. To excel in one area you have to let go of the other; you can either be expansive, or you can be focused. Now it’s possible to be good at switching between the two modes and that one person might be better than another at both, but I would argue it’s difficult or even near impossible to think in both ways at the exact same time.
