I'm impressed by your math skills, but I used to live in Boulder and I'm shocked to learn that 25% live below the poverty line. Is that really true? I suppose it could be the fact that many are college students, but still. That seems high.
- leesalminen 8y agoThose trailer parks in North Boulder are very well hidden. Many don’t even realize they’re there. Some of the nicest trailers I’ve ever seen, FWIW.
- monocasa 8y agoThere's also the hippy co-ops like the radish. There's also a ton of kids waiting fir their trust fund to, vest I guess?, and don't really care that they aren't making any money at the moment.
- yawz 8y agoActually there are trailer parks in, I think, 4 different places in Boulder.
- aurailious 8y agoMost cities try to hide trailer parks as much as possible. 99% Invisible recently did an episode on mobile homes that was pretty interesting.
- jlarocco 8y agoI don't think that's true. Those parks aren't big and they're still expensive because the property itself is expensive. Most of the poverty number is due to all the college students - there are 33k of them in a town of 108k.
