Agree completely here. 20 years ago I was involved in a project that rolled out an integrated SAP/GIS system. The GIS server had 3Gb RAM and was able to support 100 users. These days we can't even roll out a client computer with that little RAM -- and the end users can't get any more work done than they could 20 years ago.
