My two cents is that all the low hanging fruit is gone and start ups are now 'mainstream', 10 years ago you could make a nice looking TODO list and as long as it had shareable lists and deadlines you could flip it for a few million. I think the kind of work that is required to build something is much harder. I'm probably wrong though.
