A bit similar situation in Norway. In fact I was not quite sure what our money looks like at the moment because some of our bills changed. I just had some bills as an emergency stash for a long time, that I had to check if was still valid money. We've even started paying street sellers and beggars electronically now. Because even they realize that almost nobody is carrying cash anymore.
