One of the things I've learned from my own experience is that meeting new people or meeting like minded people is the easy part. To make new friends you have to meet them over and over for no reason (think about it it's true for all your best friends). Many people I've met who had so much in common with me and totally clicked never became friends because we didn't have the time to meet over and over.
