Yup, clearly a self-parody, starting with the self-mocking title. Making a point, or several, I think.
- tptacek 16y agoIt's tongue and cheek, but that doesn't make it a parody. Against the notion that it's satire: the fact that it doesn't make sense as satire (see slides #1, #3, #5, and #11).
- auxbuss 16y agoparody != satire nor does parody => satire parody: an imitation of the style of a particular writer, artist, or genre with deliberate exaggeration for comic effect. Thus, self-parody.
