I think the only way you could think this was "the next big thing" is if you never did M-x doctor in an emacs buffer. LSTMs do reasonable cocktail talk if you want someone to answer your emails for you as an agent, and expert systems shells are actually useful for navigating legal documents and insurance forms (with a ton of human intervention). Otherwise, it ain't really a problem that needs solving.
