Long form pieces are nice but most of New Yorker's stuff read like student essays padded to meet a quota.
- benbreen 8y agoAs someone in the process of grading 50 undergrad essays, I respectfully disagree! I read the WSJ and NYT for short form news. But the New Yorker does something else entirely and, in my view, continues to do it very, very well.
