The argument is, "just because some of the biggest companies on the planet have started equipping their carpenters with specialized screw-hammers, doesn't mean that they wouldn't be better off using the right tool for the right job". For my part, I don't want it to go anywhere. Javascript powers some of the most interesting and exciting things in the world of software right now - but that doesn't mean that it's the best solution for every problem.
