> The white lines of the gore (the painted wedge) leading to this very shallow off ramp become far enough apart that they look like a lane. True, but not one into which the car should have merged. Although crossing a solid white line isn’t illegal in California, it does mean crossing it is discouraged for one reason or another. I love seeing the advances in tech, but it’s disheartening to see issues that could have been avoided by an intro driver’s ed course.
