More universities adopting it might be one of many reasons.
- poulsbohemian 8y agoCan confirm. My alma mater switched to it as their primary introductory language in about 2006. They had moved from Pascal to C++ to Java, with C++ and Java only lasting a few years each. I got the sense this was a trend in undergraduate academia.
