I am not shorting the market, that doesn't make sense for my situation, but I am betting against it. Rather than buy shares of stock-based funds, which I consider to be overvalued, I stopped adding cash to my IRA and started sending the money to the mortgage company instead. That way I get a guaranteed 3.75% return.
3.75% may be small compared to the long-term returns of the market, but it's awfully attractive compared to a net negative return on securities that lose value over the next few years.

It hurts to watch the market continue to climb, but I am confident Trump's short-sighted actions will cause pain. Putting my money where my mouth is, as they say.
