Absolutely. I can double the speed* for a ~10-15X increase in power. But then you won't buy my core ;)
*In theory a massive ROB could do this, frontend bottlenecks notwithstanding.
- DSingularity 8y agoYeah, but good luck renaming registers fast enough. The breakthrough has to come from software. Might need to reimagine our programming/system model altogether.
